- im off to my finance study thing soon...i dont think ive ever studied this much for a single test. im practically doing every problem in the book. lately ive been interested in this intern thing for the summer, without going into too much detail, its basically learning how to market products and stuff, if i get it i would have to go out of state to do this. i dont think i had to, but for the internship interviews, i went to men's express yesterday and bought two shirts and a tie for about $120, one shirt is yellow and the other is striped purple (cindy picked this one) and the tie is blue and yellow. theyre nice but im having cognitive dissonance (for you marketing people. which for the test i got an A on btw!!!)

- i dun wanna do anything, i have a midterm in project management tomorrow and its supposed to be easy not just because its open book and computer, but the material is like stuff you should already know. Like leaders have to have good communication skills and they must motivate the workers etc etc. Why are they teaching this stuff to us? then after that i have to go to the business office to talk about doing this 3 day freshman orientation thing in the summer.
i guess my hopes of going to france next year is going to be postponed to after the taiwan program. my dad talked me out of it and he had a really good reason. i guess i'll just have to wait.
i should be studying right now but im gonna play age of empires instead...its all ur fault cindy!

- Current Song: Alizée - J'ai en Marre
im really bored right now and i dont wanna do homework. almost one year since ive posted. let's do catch up, its the beginning of the 4th week in spring quarter '05 and i've been living in the new apartments called "cerro vista" with cisco, chris, and jason (also our unofficial roomates includes justin and cindy). also, the CA (community advisor aka RA) Guy lives right below us, specifically under my room, so we've had to try to keep things quiet. i've successfully switched my major to business administration from general engineering (bah!) and im happy with my choice. i can see myself doing this as a career. grades are actually pretty good, except that damn botany, but other than that, ive been getting alota A's and a few B's
things have been relatively calm compared to last year in the dorms although we have had some fun moments. first thing that comes to mind is that day chris, cisco and I had those "air freshner wars". we got whatever aerosol cans we could find including dust-offs, air freshners, cleaners, anything...until cisco had the idea to get the fire extinguisher, which chris got from the unlocked cabinet outside, and fired it into my room, completely covering the room in this white powder, ironically that set off the fire alarm and the cops came. we told them about the air freshners but not the extinguisher, they believed us, but they checked for marijuana in our eyes in case.
jason brought along his grandma's mahjong set to play every weekend. by this time justin and cindy have been staying in the living room every friday through saturday and sometimes sunday. so we stay up into the early hours playing mahjong. recently after spring break i had one of the worst dry spells where i did not win any games for at least 30 games straight. i guess i used up all my luck before spring break where i got all 3 dragons and other points for a total of 10 points. jason still beats everyone when setting up tho. one time the table was unavailable and we played on the floor, Guy (our CA aka RA) came up to our door and asked if we were playing with fire crackers....lol
we went kayaking (in los osos i think?) this first week of the quarter, it was fun, it was me, cindy, justin, and jason. everybody was sore the day after. later this guy from china who owns a store nearby asked me how to translate some really scribbly chinese on some black stone tablets, i told him it was really hard to read, so i said i'd check on the dictionary later for him....which i still have to do.
jason introduced me to a few people living nearby, he knew them from badmitton club. anyways, the roomates names are kristen, paradise, and jenny. i think its really fun to go out with to do stuff...anything. mainly kristen and paradise tho. we went to have tea a few times in atascadero, and then cambria (the better one). its really nice to have something different and also classy. it has cheese and crumpets and everything...good stuff.
lately i've been seriously considering studying abroad. of course i want to study in taipei, taiwan to improve my chinese, thats practically a guaranteed choice, but before going there i wanna study in europe. preferably france, that means i have to take french language courses this upcoming year if i wanna go. i know this means i have to be away from home for two years if i go to both taiwan and france, but i believe that in hindsight, i would regret not going when i was young when i had the perfect chance to learn another language and their culture. if i could, i would go to a different country every year. if france doesnt work out for me, i'd probably choose do london study, or maybe germany, the netherlands, denmark, sweden, or italy...so many choices! either way going i really really want to go abroad, i wouldn't have this kind of experience again after college.
it really blows my mind that im gonna be a third year college student so soon! it seems like not to long ago that i was still working for the newspaper in high school. it might seem silly but i THINK im having a quarter-life crisis (kinda like a mid-life crisis). im almost 20 years old and just double that is 40! a quarter of my life is gone, just like that. i guess im afraid of growing old. my looks are decent since people still think i look like im 15. i wanna hit 21 and stay there forever. im sure i'll get over it, at least im not doing anything rash like mid-age people.
